I had dinner at Safran by Koya after my friends in London insisted I go — and they were absolutely right.

The atmosphere was magical: soft lighting, live oriental dancers, musicians, and a rooftop view of the Koutoubia.
The saffron lamb tagine was amazing, the mezze starters were full of flavor, and the service was spot on.

⚠️ You really need to book at least a week in advance, it’s fully booked almost every night!
That evening, 90% of the guests were tourists from all over the world, giving the place a stylish and international vibe.

An unforgettable evening — part fine dining, part live show. I highly recommend it.

Tip: make sure to book at least a week in advance, as it’s usually full every evening.

It really felt like a mix of fine dining and live entertainment — definitely one of my best food experiences in Marrakech.

By the way, since I travel often, I usually rely on local cabs and transfers. For example, when I’m back in the UK I use a reliable taxi near me service that makes airport transfers super easy. In Marrakech too, booking transport in advance makes evenings like this stress-free.

I finally visited Safran by Koya for dinner after my London friends insisted I go, and honestly the experience was flawless. The vibe is enchanting with a direct view of the Koutoubia, accompanied by soft lights and local dancers. I absolutely loved the chicken pastilla, which was perfectly spiced, and the starters were flavorful.

The service was polite and efficient. My advice is to book seven days early because they are always full. It was a mix of great food and a cultural show, marking one of my top memories in Marrakech. Since I travel often, I appreciate reliable transport. Just as I find a dependable taxi near me in the UK for airport transfers, booking a ride here in advance kept the evening entirely stress free.
